Neighboring cities within minutes of each other, Oakland has 50 distinct neighborhoods and is home to the busiest port in Northern California.

Berkeley is home to UC Berkeley, the oldest campus of the UC system and is considered one of the most socially progressive cities.  

Home to Silicon Valley, Santa Clara County is an economic powerhouse for all things tech related. Top companies include Apple, Google, HP, Cisco and many more. It has a very dense population, which create a competitive housing market and high prices. 

A little south of San Francisco, in the peninsula lies San Mateo. It has a Mediterranean climate due to its proximity to the coast and one of the biggest economic drivers is in bio-tech.

One of the largest producers of wine and the 22nd county in agricultural production. Santa Rosa is the largest city. 

Southwest Alameda applies to the south of Oakland, and the Tri-Valley refers to the 3 valleys in the East Bay which are Amador Valley, San Ramon Valley, and Livermore Valley.
